Looking for a new TV format : the first contest launched by SAT2000


“Let’s change the programme”: this is the name of the contest that the satellite channel Sat2000 has launched to find out new ideas for TV programmes. The contest has taken place during the whole year through the presentation of formats by young non-professional authors, in the framework of SAT2000 show called “Il Grande Talk”. On the 6th of June 2008, the winners of both “Entertainment” and “Public Service” sections have been awarded: for them, the production of an international promo of their own formats. Following the positive results obtained in the training field based on a pragmatic work methodology and on the principle of “shared know-how”, an important co-production project based on the “basket” formula has been launched by ASBU (Arab States Broadcasting Union) and COPEAM in November 2005. Radio co-production: The Mythical Harbours of the Mediterranean


The meeting of the Radio Commission of COPEAM on the 27th October 2006 in Porto Vecchio (France) has marked a founding stage through the launching of the first Mediterranean radio coproduction, dedicated to the theme « Portraits of Legendary footballers ». By now, a second series dedicated to the « Mythical Harbours of the Mediterranean » is soon going to be crowned. Piloted by France Bleu Frequenza Mora and based on the basket principle – according to which each radio registers its own episodes and receive in exchange the complete series realised by all the other partners – those coproductions…

TERRAMED on air


The pilot phase of TERRAMED – satellite promotional window of the Mediterranean-oriented programmes by EPTV (Algeria), France Télévisions (France), Télévision Tunisienne (Tunisia), Rai News 24/RAIMED (Italy), RTVE (Spain), and Eutelsat/Skylogic as technical partner -will start up in April: one hour of programming every day (11 a.m. – 12 a.m. GMT+2) on RaiMed satellite channel, shared by the 5 partner broadcasters and devoted to selected programmes on culture, art, history, traditions, economy, tourism, food, environment, to be promoted in the whole Euro-Mediterranean region. MADE IN MEDITERRANEAN The COPEAM on RAI Utile


On 19th October COPEAM, in collaborationwith RAI Utile, launched «Made inMediterranean», a series of 26’ programs aimed at bringing a new point of view on the following subject: «East and West:identities and languages». Five episodes in which this topic has been presented from different points of view and through the participation of representatives of the Mediterranean cultural and Media fields. An exchange of perspectives between the North and the South aimed at overcoming some dangerous and persistent stereotypes which are often conveyed by the Media and that feed the dichotomy between Orientalism and Occidentalism. SEA&TV, THE FIRST EURO-MEDITERRANEAN FESTIVAL TV Formats dedicated to the Sea


The first edition of Sea&TV, the Euro-Mediterranean Festival of TV formats dedicated to the
Sea, took place in La Maddalena Isle, from the 26th to the 29th September 2007.
The event has been promoted and organised by EB Communication, an Italian production society,
member of COPEAM since 2007.

COPEAM has granted its engagement in encouraging its members’ participation in the Festival, by promoting it throughout an information campaign, and in organising an international roundtable titled “A blue-painted TV programming.

GRAND PRIX OF COPEAM AT EKO FESTIVAL


2007 EDITION

The 8th edition of the TV festival organised by MKRTV of Macedonia and devoted to the environmental protection and to the cultural heritage was held in Ohrid from 2nd to 5th June 2007.
The international Jury awarded as best documentary in competition the film “Bizarre World”, produced by ComFact (Czech Republic), that won the COPEAM Grand Prix.

OPEN SKY EUROPE


COPEAM has collaborated to the project “Open Sky Europe” – financed by the European Commission and implemented by UNINETTUNO Telematic University – through a TV spot broadcast by several televisions members of COPEAM: JRTV/Jordan, PBC/Palestine, RAIMED/Italy, ENTV/Algeria, ERTU/Egypt. The spot has also been sent on the Mediterranean Regional News Exchange (ERN-Med).

With the aim of promoting, within the Euro- Mediterranean region, the information concerning
the European Union and its economic, social and cultural relationships with the MEDA countries, the “Open Sky Europe” project proposes an e-learning formula of University Master focused on the topic: the European Culture….
