THE NEW TV COPRODUCTION “INTER-RIVES” IS ABOUT TO START


The 9th edition of “Inter-Rives”, the long standing TV coproduction promoted by COPEAM and ASBU, was recently launched. Through a call for participation spread in February 2022, public broadcasters from the two networks have been invited to join the project and take part in two professional workshops for the production – by each of them – of one documentary of 13’ on the main series’ topic.

“À Première Vue” Prize


As part of the support action for young Mediterranean directors “À Première Vue” – promoted by COPEAM with ALBA, ESAC, ESAVM cinema schools and the Uninettuno University – a Prize for students’ best short-film was launched thanks to the support of TV5Monde.

An international jury has been set up:

  • Elisabeth Cestor (Mucem)
  • Nicolas Feodoroff (FIDMarseille)
  • Naïma Yahi (Historian)
  • Manuela Rima (Rai Cinema)
  • Kais Zaied (Naas Network)

NEW EDITION OF THE JOURNALISM TRAINING “REPORTING CLIMATE CHANGE”: CALL FOR PARTICIPATION NOW OPEN


Climate change is considered as the “defining issue of our time”.  In a time when trustworthy information is at stake, citizens need to be aware about the impact of climate change and the mitigation and adaptation strategies that can be implemented. 

Considering the importance of this, COPEAM – with the support of the EIB – European Investment Bank – has launched a new edition of the international e-learning course for journalists Reporting Climate Change”, aimed at reinforcing beneficiary professionals’ skills, thus ultimately contributing to the production of quality-information about climate change and environmental sustainability.

    “Reporting climate change” e-learning course 2021/2022 – Project completion


    The 2021/2022 of the e-learning course for journalists “Reporting climate change was achieved in January 2022, with 15 graduates from Africa, the Balkans and the MENA region.

    The course  – aimed at raising awareness among journalists and news professionals about the current climate challenges and at increasing their reporting skills in this field – was made possible thanks to the renewed financial support of the European Investment Bank (EIB) and to the technical partnership of the international Telematic University Uninettuno, a leading institution in the field of the e-learning.

    The TV documentary coproduction Inter-Rives 8 “SustainAbility – Stories of Changemakers” is ready to be aired


    The 8th edition of COPEAM-ASBU Inter-Rives TV documentary coproduction “SustainAbility – Stories of Changemakers” is ready to be aired. This new series gives voice to men and women who – with their skills, ideas, initiatives and efforts in different fields – have taken action for a more sustainable society in their respective countries. 13 public televisions of both shores of the Mediterranean have joined the project: BNT/Bulgaria, ERT/Greece, France Télévisions, HRT/Croatia, NMA/Egypt, PBC/Palestine, RAI/Italy, RSI/Switzerland, RTVE/Spain, RTVSLO/Slovenia, SNRT/Morocco, Sudan TV, Télévision Tunisienne.

    MEDITERRANEAN MEDIA IN MARSEILLE FOR ICO SOLUTIONS


    September 8-9, 2021 at the Palais de la Bourse

    In parallel with the IUCN World Conservation Congress, COPEAM (Permanent Conference of the Mediterranean Audiovisual Operators) will be in Marseille for the ICO Solutions meeting, intended to support and promote concrete solutions to the major challenges related to the preservation and sustainable development of islands, coasts and oceans.

    A two-level participation is foreseen, with the media coverage of the event and the presentation, in preview, of a series of audiovisual witnesses dedicated to users of the Mediterranean Sea.
