During the works of the 32nd ASBU General Assembly in Cairo, in December 2012, and last COPEAM Annual Conference in Cagliari, the Tripartite ASBU-EBU-COPEAM met to discuss the main cooperation actions in the field of co-production, notably Inter-Rives third series on new Mediterranean generations, which is entering the homestretch.
Particular emphasis was also put on the activity devoted to the data-collection about the markets of nine ENPI/South countries: an initiative developed by the Euromed Audiovisual III programme of the EU in cooperation with the European Audiovisual Observatory, in the framework of the CDSU (Capacity Development Support Unit). This project was the focus of a presentation on the occasion of the 89th session of ASBU Executive Council, last 10 June, with the official intervention of COPEAM and EBU. A forum on this issue, extended to the operators of the region, will be held next September in Tunis, always hosted by ASBU. In June, COPEAM participated in a meeting of the CDSU Finance Group, held at La Rochelle in the framework of the Sunny Side of the Doc.
