“SustainAbility – Stories of Changemakers”: the new edition of Inter-Rives TV documentary coproduction

COPEAM and ASBU launched the new edition of Inter-Rives TV documentary coproduction: “SustainAbility – Stories of Changemakers”.

The call for participation was launched to COPEAM and ASBU television members. 15 public televisions from the North and the South of the Mediterranean joined the project: BNT/Bulgaria, ERT/Greece, EPTV/Algeria, France Télévisions, HRT/Croatia, JRTV/Jordan, NMA/Egypt, PBC/Palestine, RAI/Italy, RSI/Switzerland, RTVE/Spain, RTSSLO/Slovenia, SNRT/Morocco, Sudan TV, Tunisian Television.

THE TOPIC:

According to the United Nations’ “Agenda 2030” and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the idea of sustainability doesn’t refer only to environmental issues, but it deals with a balanced connection of economic, social and environmental aspects of human society on the long term. It addresses key-global challenges such as poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace and justice, and we are all – countries, governments, multilateral organizations, companies, civil society, individuals – concerned.

Inter-Rives 8 coproduction wants to collect powerful stories of men and women who, with their particular skills, ideas, initiatives and efforts in different fields, have taken action for a more sustainable society.

A documentary series made of stories from different countries and contexts could be highly inspirational for the public and for the society in general, pointing out the importance of the contribution of each of us to improve the quality of everyone’s’ life.

COPRODUCTION ROAD MAP (November 2020 – July 2021):

Due to Covid19 restrictions, the first coproduction workshop will be held remotely at the end of November 2020. It will gather the film-makers appointed by the participating TVs and the coproduction experts and will be focused on presenting and discussing the documentary projects (topics, stories and protagonists).

The second and final workshop will be held in spring/summer 2021.
