Med Agora COPEAM first professional Web social network addressed to the operators of the Euro-Med audiovisual sector, was presented in the round table "Springtime for the Arab docs!" organised by AFAC in the framework of the "Sunny Side of the Doc", held in La Rochelle on 23rd June 2011.
The panel was an opportunity to analyze how the Arab revolutions have affected the Northern broadcasters’ growing interest for the Arab audiovisual market as well as to reflect on the creative use of social media as content providers for documentaries’ production.

The Med Agora project has been developed with the aim of effectively linking content producers and broadcasters, and of supporting young professionals just approaching the sector. Producers, directors, festivals, broadcasters, training institutions and film commissioners coming from all the countries of the region gather on this new platform to promote their work, exchange information, learn about the ongoing opportunities and set up together projects and partnerships.

By subscribing to Med Agora, each user can create its own profile page and display its work, expand its professional network, chat in real time with other users, ask the other members for advices and tips. The Med Agora platform, launched in its pilot version in May 2011, already provides some interesting services such as a "Tips" section in which users can find real-time updated information on call for projects, festivals and training opportunities available in the region...
