COPEAM partner of the Anna Lindh Foundation for the Mediterranean Journalist Award

Monaco, 13-14 October 2010

Following last year’s experience, COPEAM joins again the Anna Lindh Mediterranean Journalist Award as media partner, for the promotion of its 2010 edition.
Throughout its network, our Association has already relayed the selection procedure ensuring an important number of participants in the four categories of the award : Press, Online Media, Audio-visual and Cultural Heritage.

In addition, COPEAM has produced a promotional video for the International Award Ceremony in Monaco on the 14th October.

Finally, COPEAM was associated in the selection of the winning works through to the participation of Ms. Alessandra Paradisi in the International Jury of the Award.

The winners of the 2010 edition of the "Anna Lindh Mediterranean Journalist Award"

- International Jury’s Life‐time Achievement: Jean Daniel (France) - for a common Mediterranean region

- Professional Recognition Prize: Mona El Tahawy (Egypt) - for outstanding professional contribution

- Press Category: Sarfraz Manzoor (UK) for ‘My Month of Being Jewish’ published in The Guardian-

- Audiovisual Category: Pierre Mari (France) for ‘Female Emigration’ on Kantara, program coproduced by EPRS/Algérie, ERTU/Egypte, Radio France/FB Frequenza Mora, Radio Tunisienne, SNRT/Maroc and realixsed by Radio France/FB Frequenza Mora., and Ali Gohine (Egypt) for ‘Illegal Migration’ on Nile Television Network

- Online Media: Dalia Ziada (Egypt) for ‘Unveiling the minds of Young Muslim Women’ in Bikya Masr

- Cultural Heritage: Yizhar Beer (Israel) for ‘The city and the dogs’ in the Huffington Post
