Writing TV series: an innovative training will start next autumn

FIEST - International training for TV series writing project (funded by the EU Erasmus+ programme) is fully operational and all partners – COPEAM, the international university Uninettuno (Italy), France Télévisions and 5 cinema and audiovisual schools: ALBA (Lebanon), ESAV Marrakech (Morocco), INSAS (Belgium), ENSAV Toulouse (France) and ESAC (Tunisia) – are working to kick-off the training after the summer break.

A preliminary study about the TV series market has been conducted under the coordination of a researcher of ENSAV Toulouse and officially presented during the last COPEAM annual Conference in Mallorca (11 May) to the representatives of the media sector.

The Pedagogic Committee met twice in the last months (in Rome and in Mallorca) to agree and define the contents, the objectives and the structure of this international innovative training. It will merge workshops and e-learning sessions to provide the first 30 students coming from 5 countries (France, Tunisia, Morocco, Lebanon, Belgium) with the professional and creative tools and the knowledge required by this growing and strategic job sector. The call for candidatures has been recently opened by the cinema schools to select the beneficiary students.
