COPEAM@ the 36th Advisory Commiittee of the European Audiovisual Observatory

On March 11 2021, COPEAM representatives took part in the 36th Advisory Commiittee (AdCo) of the European Audiovisual Observatory, which is part of the Council of Europe.
The online plenary meeting focused on the Role of the AdCo in terms of advice, support and partnership and was followed by two working groups respectively devoted to how to improve cooperation between members  and to the required criteria to become a member.

The Advisory Committee - that COPEAM joined in 2013 - was set up as an advising body that would help “ensure” the relevance of the Observatory's work to the audiovisual industry which, according to the Observatory statutory function, is that of serving all its members (currently 41 states and the EU) in Europe with reliable unbiased information on the audiovisual market.

39 European and international professional organisations representing the various branches of the audiovisual industries make up the Advisory Committee. The full list of the current members of the Advisory Committee is available at: https://www.obs.coe.int/en/web/observatoire/advisory-committee.
