The 2nd module of the participative training on “Gender Equality in the Media” - funded by the Council of Europe through the North-South Centre – ended successfully.

This practical workshop focused on the cross-media production techniques and smart forms of journalism and aimed to improve participants' skills to use new technologies to cover gender-sensitive issues.

Two media experts accompanied the trainees throughout 5 interactive learning sessions dealing with different aspects - both technical and editorial - related to mobile reporting.

The participants were introduced to the basics of smartphone video shooting and interviews, deepening how to create appealing stories and to plan a visual storytelling. The second part of the course was devoted to video editing and to the use of different platforms and of the best Apps to produce multi-media content.

At the end of this engaging learning process, beneficiaries realized a gender-based story starting from the subjects written and developed during the 1st training module by using exclusively mobile devices, so to put into practice the acquired techniques and resources.

Finally, a long and intense journey, rich in contents and exchanges.Congratulations to all participants for their commitment and hard work!
