Balkans’ Memory – first training seminar the preservation and the restoration of the audiovisual and cinema archives

Following the opening conference of the Balkans’ Memory project, which was held on June 1st 2012 in Zagreb, Ina EXPERT organizes the first of a series of seminars and trainings devoted to the preservation and the promotion of audiovisual and cinematographic heritage and organized until July 2014 in the Western Balkans.
The first 3-day seminar, organized with the AQSHF, the National Film Archive of Albania - partner of the project together with HAVC (Croatian Audiovisual Centre) and COPEAM (Permanent Conference of the Audiovisual Operators) - took place in Tirana, from 6 to 8 November 2012.
This event gathered the archives’ managers from the Balkans region around the challenges related to the preservation and the restoration of the audiovisual and cinema archives, as well as to the most in danger collections and formats and to their safeguard prior to their digitization.
Theoretical courses, debates and visits led by specialists in the domain will were delivered to about fifteen archives’ professionals coming from the targeted countries of the region.
