Press Conference "JOUSSOUR"
The cross-border docu-mags for a sustainable Mediterranean

Following the first meeting of the Cross-border Executive Production of the project “JOUSSOUR”, scheduled on 15 December 2011 in Tunis, a launch press conference of the project – co-funded by the European Union through the Programme ENPI CBC MED, managed by the Autonomous Region of Sardinia (Italy) - will be held at ASBU headquarters, on 16 December 2011, at 12.00, further to the conclusion of the 31st ordinary session of ASBU General Assembly.
“JOUSSOUR” is an innovative project having as main goal the co-production of 12 docu-mags realized by young professionals and aimed at encouraging their mobility as well as the exchange of know-how within the Euro-Mediterranean region.
The series will be conceived for the television and the web and will aim at strengthening the audiovisual cooperation as well as at informing the general public about the environmental challenges in the Mediterranean cross-border regions.
This multicultural project is coordinated by the Permanent Conference of the Mediterranean Audiovisual Operators (COPEAM) as project leader and gathers the following partners:
• ASBU - Arab States Broadcasting Union (Tunisia)
• PBS - Public Broadcasting Services Ltd (Malta)
• RAI-Radiotelevisione Italiana / RAI Educational
• EBU – European Broadcasting Union (Associated partner)
This 24-month project has a total value of 497.044 €, with an ENPI contribution of 447.290 € (90%).
