SouthMed WiA, a project funded by the European Union in the framework of the regional programme MedFilm, launches its 1st Call for Proposals. The objective of this call is to support projects addressing weaknesses and issues related to gender equality and the under-representation of women in the audiovisual sector in seven Southern Mediterranean countries: Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia.

The first edition of the Migration Media Award – an EU-funded journalism competition of which COPEAM is an associated partner – will reward 35 journalists from 16 countries for their journalistic excellence in reporting on migration in the Euro-Mediterranean region. The winning entries feature fact-based and impartial reporting on the complexity of migration, its many challenges and opportunities.
An international jury, composed of reputable senior journalists, evaluated over 120 applications – in English, French or Arabic – for the four categories of video, print, online and radio….

Radio Romania will host the 2017 Public Broadcasters International Conference (PBI) to be held on 12 and 13 September in Sinaia.
