At the end of the year, COPEAM continues its historic cooperation with institutional partners by participating in important events of the North / South Centre of the Council of Europe, the Anna Lindh Foundation and the Alliance of Civilizations of the United Nations.

Closing of the second edition of the Kantara Photography Prize

The 2020 edition of the Kantara Photography Prize, dedicated this year to the Mediterranean rivers, has just been closed. It was marked by a significant increase in terms of participants, with 129 applications from 13 countries, mainly Mediterranean ones. All the photographs in competition will be submitted, in the coming days, to the evaluation of an international jury composed of professional photographers. The results of the selection will be communicated by mid-September. Best of luck all participants and thanks for taking part in this initiative!

TAL announces the official opening of its 2020 Competition

The TAL Network recognizes and celebrates the work of Latin American broadcasters with what has become the most important and prestigious award for public televisions in this part of the world: TAL 2020 Awards. 2020 is not an easy year: the Covid-19 pandemic has changed our lives completely; we have had to work under other parameters, facing – among others – the great challenges of home-schooling and giving accurate information to our public.

Mostra de València announces the first films in competition

Mostra de València is starting to shape its official competition section. The festival, which will take place in Valencia, Spain, from October 22 to November 1, is strengthening its commitment to tracking down the best cinema produced in the Mediterranean. A selection of high-level films will be featured, addressing a wide variety of topics from countries in Europe and beyond, such as “Zana” (Kosovo), the debut feature by Antoneta Kastratibut, “Mosquito” (Portugal), by director João Nuno Pinto, “La Viajante”, the debut film by the Canarian filmmaker Miguel A. Mejías.
