Inter-Rives 7 documentary collection about “Harbour cities” soon on air

“Inter-Rives” project, promoted by COPEAM and ASBU, has accomplished its 7th edition: Harbour cities: places of exchanges and stories.

11 documentaries produced by the TV partners – EPTV/Algeria, BNT/Bulgaria, NMA/Egypt, France Télévisions, RAI/Italy, SNRT/Morocco, PBC/Palestine, RTV Vojvodina/Serbia, TVE/Spain,  RSI/Switzerland and Télévision Tunisienne – are now available for broadcast.               
Bastia, Cadiz, Bizerte, Taranto, Pula, Essaouira: these are some of the cities portrayed in this series.

After the second and final coproduction workshop held in Rome in July 2019, the film-makers appointed by each TV have finalised their works, among which two will be awarded this edition’s special prize….

International training workshop on sports narration

Rome/Perugia (Italy), 3-6 December 2019

With the aim to enhance the capacities of TV and radio journalists to report on sports topics, RAI-Radiotelevisione Italiana – in collaboration with COPEAM and in partnership with ASBU – organized a 4-day workshop from 3 to 6 December 2019, at the Centro Italiano di Studi Superiori per la Formazione e l’Aggiornamento in Giornalismo Radiotelevisivo of Perugia.

14 journalists coming from 12 broadcasters of COPEAM network and from 10 countries (Balkans, Southern Mediterranean and Middle East) took part in this international training.

Part of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, France, the Observatory is a public service organization created in 1992 with the aim to collect and distribute information about the audiovisual industries in Europe while promoting greater transparency and a clearer understanding of the ways in which the audiovisual industries function, both from an economic and legal point of view. “See it. Name it. Stop it”: The Council of Europe takes stand against sexism

In March 2019, the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers adopted a new Recommendation on Preventing and Combating Sexism. Not only does this text contain the first ever internationally agreed definition of sexism, but it also proposes a set of concrete measures to combat this widespread phenomenon.  Last week, with the aim to promote the fight against sexism and the implementation of this Recommendation, the Council has launched a video and an action page under the hashtag #StopSexism and the slogan “Sexism: See it.
