COPEAM,during the XII Euro-Mediterranean Conference on Cinema,vis-à-vis the excellent parterre of professionals from the audiovisual sector and personalities of the international political world, launched to Europe the challenge for new “televisions without frontiers” which look at the Mediterranean panorama: broadcasting quotas or new national production incentives for the promotion of the audiovisual works realized in the Euro- Mediterranean area. A proposal that aims at a concrete action of support to the audiovisual industry, in the framework of the revision of the “TV without Frontiers” Directive of the European Union and of the “Convention on Transfrontier television” of the Council of Europe.
A call to all the professionals of this sector to act in unison for the change: “COPEAM promotes this
action addressing an appeal in order to join forces on this shared target that I believe could answer
concretely to many needs of the sector” (from the speech of the Secretary General of COPEAM).
