«BOUNDLESS» Cultural Diversity Media Award and Training in Intercultural Journalism
The 30th September 2007 the call for canditates to participate in «Boundless – Cultural Diversity Media Award» – an international initiative carried out in partnership by COPEAM,WDR,EBU,FranceTélévisions,
UNESCO, NPS/Netherlands – was closed.
56 applications have been received from 25 countries of the Euro-Mediterranean region and beyond. 15 young professionals have been awarded to have better represented in their works the idea of Cultural Diversity.
Among the covered subjects, the minorities’ habits, the friendship between different cultures, the interreligious dialogue, the refugees’ life.

3RD EDITION OF COPEAM UNIVERSITY
Following the great success of the editions of Ghardaïa (2005) and Sétif (2006), the « 2007 COPEAM University » took place in Oran (Algeria) from 10th to 17th March.
The University is an original “format” created by COPEAM under the aegis of ENTV, and represents a unique experience of training in Mediterranean and in Europe : young professionals from the two shores of the Mediterranean and from Arabic countries get together during one week to produce a TV magazine and a radio magazine, while discovering the synergies between different audiovisual languages, and comparing methods and different sensibilities.

TRAINING COURSE ON STUDIO & LOCATION LIGHTING 2007
The Studio & location Lighting Workshop organized by COPEAM and ERTU (Egyptian Radio and TV Union), in collaboration with RAI – Radiotelevisione Italiana, has been held in Cairo from 26th to 28th February 2007.
The Workshop, that involved the professionals in the lighting field – techniques or engineers – gathered together 32 professionals coming from the Broadcaster members of COPEAM (Egypt, Morocco, Tunis, Jordan).
TOOLKIT FOR EUROVISION NEWS CONTACTS
The training Toolkit is addressed to professionals dealing with the News Exchange through the Eurovision network and coordination services.
It is composed by:

INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON ARCHIVES 2006
The yearly workshop organised by COPEAM and LJB, in collaboration with RAI, took place in Tripoli from 27 until 29 November 2006. The workshop dealt with the management of the archives and has been attended by about 50 participants from LJB (Libya), ERTU (Egypt), ENTV (Algeria) and JRTV (Jordan).The training has been delivered by two experts from RAI:Mr. Guido Del Pino and Mr. Sergio Gigliati, high-qualified professionals with a long experience in the management of the archive projects at a regional and national level.

COPEAM Training Activity: INSIGHT OUT 2006
From 27th March until 1st of April, in Potsdam (Germany) 25 professionals in film & TV production residents in countries participating in MEDA Programme of the EU (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, the Palestinian Authority, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey) attended a 6-day course on high definition television & digital cinema, selected by EBU International Training, supported by the Euromed Audiovisual II Programme of the EU and promoted by COPEAM & ASBU.
The course has been held at HFF University of Film & Television “Konrad Wolf”, one of the Europe’s leading art academies focused on film and television production.

2ND EDITION OF COPEAM UNIVERSITY
In Sétif (Algeria), last 5th March, Mrs Khalida Toumi, Minister of the Culture in Algeria, Mr Hamraoui Habib Chawki, ENTV Director General and COPEAM President, Mrs Alessandra Paradisi, COPEAM Secretary General, Mr Bedoui Noureddine, wali of Sétif, have opened the 2nd COPEAM University, that has gathered together about 80 television & radio journalists form the Northern and Southern countries of the Mediterranean region and also furthermore, thanks to the synergies with ASBU – Arab States Broadcasting Union.
